Dr. Gerard Diefes graduated from La Salle University in 1988 with a BA in Biology. He then received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Hahnemann University in 1992. Dr. Diefes continued his training at Hahnemann in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine, finishing in 1998. For the last 27 years, he owned a successful private practice, holding academic affiliations with Hahnemann University and Pennsylvania College of Osteopathic Medicine. During this time, Dr. Diefes was responsible for training Internal Medicine residents and Pulmonary/Critical Care fellows. He has won several teaching awards and enjoys educating future physicians.
He is currently board-certified in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. Dr Diefes treats a wide variety of pulmonary diseases, focusing on asthma, COPD, and sleep disorders while valuing patient education and quality care.
